Rejecting a Referral
If your organization is unable to provide services for a referral, you can reject the referral directly within the Rovicare portal. Providing a clear and timely response helps ensure the patient is quickly redirected to another appropriate provider.
When to Reject a Referral
You may need to reject a referral if:

You do not offer the requested service

You are at capacity or unavailable

The patient is outside your service area
-
Insurance is not accepted
-
The referral is not a good fit for your organization
How to Reject a Referral

Navigate to the Incoming Workspace

Locate the referral
-
Click the Blue Decision icon next to the patient’s name

In the referral panel, select Accept Patient: No

Choose a rejection reason from the dropdown
-
(Optional) Add additional notes for context
-
Click Submit
What Happens After You Reject

The referral status will update to Rejected
-
The referring organization will be notified
-
They can continue sending the referral to other providers
